The black side reflective stripe looks white in this photo but is actually black. This Boss 302 also has a blacked out hood, black front air dam and color matched mirrors.

Hot Rod magazine called the Cobra Jet "the fastest running pure stock in the history of man." Only one engine was more powerful in 1969 and that was the 375hp (at 5200rpm), 429 cubic inch V8 engine for the Boss option. 1969 was the first and only early year the Mustang came with four headlights.
