Dark Green was the Shelby name for Highland Green paint offered on the normal 1968 Mustang. The 1968 Shelby has custom front fascia, vented hood, side scoops, and rear quarter panel scoops. These came stock with the roll bar.

It has all the Shelby equipment (power disc brakes, power steering, competition handling package, shoulder harnesses, integrated roll bar, deluxe interior, unique console and gages, and tilt / tilt away steering column) plus selected options of an automatic transmission, air conditioning and tinted glass. This car was sold at the Barrett-Jackson auto auction in 2008 Scottsdale Arizona for $92000.

This yellow was called Corporate Yellow when special ordered on the 1968 Mustang and later became Bright Yellow or Grabber Yellow in 1969 and 1970 as a standard Shelby Mustang color. This GT500-KR has its original interior and 54,000 miles. The car was repainted once in 1987. In 2002, the drive train, engine compartment, underbody and suspension were restored and detailed to SAAC Street Driven Concours class standards.

The dealership is Metke Ford east, across Lake Washington from Seattle in Bellevue Washington. Data for three 1967 Shelby's are shown in this add as well as five 1968 Mustangs, and one 1967 Mustang. Notice the last line of this add, "Home of the Shelby GT 500 & 350 and the new model "C". 1968 marked the first year Ford introduced its number one selling car in England to America, the Model C Cortina.
