It has a 289 V8 with a Holly 4 barrel that runs very well. We added a 3-inch cowl hood and one of kind custom rear spoiler, both of which are painted blue for a nice two tone paint. The trunk is also finished with the same carpet as the interior. It has front disc brakes with Borgeson power steering and an all new suspension. The car runs and drives great - no disappointments any where. It is highly detailed and well taken care of."

Martin says that it was imported to the UK in January 2008 and that it was in good original order with high spec. Options include; A-code V8 motor with the smog system still installed, automatic C4 gearbox, 3.00:1 rear axle, dual exhaust, disc brakes, power steering, working air conditioning, working radio, all working instruments, tinted glass, Pony package, console, four safety lap belts, 'Woodrim' steering wheel, and it came with five original wheels.

This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 24, 2011. It has it's original 289ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Mark tells us more, "I purchased this Mustang convertible GT in 2009. It was imported into Australia from North Carolina in 2006 by the person I purchased it from. The car has been restored to a very high level. It is an A code 4V motor with air conditioning, power steering, front disc brakes, power roof and rally pack. It is a beautiful car to drive and the color combination between the exterior and interior catches a lot of attention. The car won a sponsors award at the 2010 Australian Mustang Nationals in Adelaide and has been featured in Australian Mustang and Ford magazine."

We saw this car at the 2011 Mustang Roundup show in Bellevue, Washington last month! The matching dog carrier was there, but we didn't see the dog - Mustang Bonny. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 14, 2001. Al tells us more, "We have had the car four years now. It was fairly complete when we got it. Converted it to GT-350 specs, had it lowered all around with Curry rear traction bars, and added fiberglass hood, front, and rear with ducktail spoiler. The interior is now all leather with green piping and seatbelts. The engine was rebuilt to Hi-Po specs and C4 with a shift kit."

This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 21, 2011. The car has it's original 289ci V8 and a manual transmission. Dale tells us more, "After having an awesome Emberglo coupe, I fell in love with the GT350H and just had to have one. A real one is out of my budget so the next best thing was a tribute. So this is the fruits of my labour - a fully restored 1966 GT350H replica with all the good bits. Looks and drives great. I am really thrilled with the end result. It truly is a wonderful car, which looked after should live on forever."

This color appears to be Aspen Gold (Ford MX #706815, Dupont 93-63705). The 1966 High Country Special only came in Timberline Green, Columbine Blue, and Aspen Gold. It also has a manual transmission. Cav purchased it in 2010. Modifications include; MB Old School 17x8 wheels, 225/45 front tires 235/45 rear tires, KYB shocks all around, 1-inch Drake Scott front sway bar, Holley 4-barrel 650 cfm Street Avenger carb, and dual Cherry Bomb 18-inch glass packs. Cav also owns a Ingot Silver 2011 Mustang.

The High Country Specials came in Timberline Green, Columbine Blue, and Aspen Gold. These same colors where on the 1967 High Country Special except the Ford paint code and Dupont paint code changed for Timberline Green. We are actively trying to get a paint chip of the two Timberline Green paints for comparison.

It was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 28, 2011. Dani tells us, "This a very original unrestored 66 coupe. It was built in San Jose, California on 7 Feb 1966. It was imported to Australia in 2010 and I bought it a week after it arrived in the country. The car even arrived with the original pink slip and several US Nationals Parks passes. The car was purchased in the US from the same family who bought the car originally. It is an excellent example of the classic icon."

This is a newspaper advertisement we found for a limited edition 1966 Mustang painted in Thunderbird Silver Mink. This ad was placed by Biggio Ford of Steuenville, Ohio, in the April 11th, 1966 edition of the Weirton Daily Times of Weirton, West Virginia. It says the Mustang also comes with a black vinyl top.
