Celebrating the first-place Boss 302 finish at the 1970 Trans-Am series opener, the 2012 Laguna Seca package is designed for enthusiasts more interested in peak track performance than convenience and utility. It builds on the bumper-to-bumper refinements found on the standard Boss while removing even more weight, further stiffening the chassis and installing an aerodynamic package carried over almost in its entirety from the Ford Racing Boss 302R. Boss Laguna Seca uses the same 444-hp 5.0-liter V8 as the standard Boss, with refinements to the driveline, suspension, steering and brakes to deliver as close to a race-car experience as is possible on a street-legal machine.

It has the 302ci (5.0L) V8 engine and a manual transmission. This one is is autographed by NASCAR Sprint cup driver Carl Edwards. Only 46 were built. This is number 44. Jim purchased it 4 months ago from a Ford dealer in Pennsylvania.

He says that he is the second owner and the car was original purchased in Vancouver BC by the first owner and stayed there for 2 years, then 2 years in California before Gil bought it and moved it to Oregon. Gil says the car was stock when he purchased it and even though he is a Chevy guy, he really likes the GT500s!

(8 photos of a 2012 Red Candy Mustang GT Convertible) This 2012 Mustang GT in Red Candy convertible exterior paint is owned by Tom Sedgwick and is our Attitude Of The Week starting September 29th, 2019. Tom says, his 2012 Mustang GT Premium started its life on the west coast of South Florida (Longboat Key) and was also traded in there in April of 2017. It was transported to Mobile, AL in July 2017 where a potential sale fell through. I noticed the vehicle in an Internet ad that same month and purchased it with 36,420 on the odometer. This mustang has the new Red Candy Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (paint code RZ) instead of the phased out color code of U6. It currently sits in the garage with 48,000 miles on the odometer and is a daily driver. It is in original condition except a Pedal Commander was installed for quicker throttle response and LED lights were installed in the passenger compartment center overhead fixture and in the trunk. The original wiper blades were just replaced in May of 2019.

The Boss 302S is similar to the Boss Laguna Seca except that it has a black louvered hood insert, black (Laguna Seca has red) painted 19 inch wheels, large carbon fiber Ford Racing rear spoiler, 6-point roll cage, Pro-Racer seat, quick release steering wheel, a Recaro HANS system, and AiM data acquisition system. Its designed to be competitive with the World Challenge GTS and the NASA American Iron Series.

Also included is many of the handling and performance features of the 2011 Mustang Boss 302R and many unique interior and exterior features. This car will be available in Spring of 2011.
