(5 photos of a 1969 Winter Blue Mach 1 Mustang Fastback) Winter Blue 1969 Mustang Mach 1 with 360hp (at 5400rpm), 428 cubic inch, Super Cobra Jet V8 engine with Ram Air induction, a hardened steel cast crankshaft, special "LeMans" connection rods, and special balancing for drag racing. Hot Rod magazine called the Cobra Jet "the fastest running pure stock in the history of man." Only one engine was more powerful in 1969 and that was the 375hp (at 5200rpm), 429 cubic inch V8 engine for the Boss option. 1969 was the first and only early year the Mustang came with four headlights.

He set many NHRA records for the Fastest Factory Street Stock with this car. It ran 10 second quarter miles. The car still has the original engine and running gear used to set those records.

This car was originally ordered with the GT sport option package which included the 351ci Winsor V8, special handling options, racing stripes, dual exhaust, hood pin type latches, and styled wheels with Argent Silver trim and GT hubcaps and gas cap. The GT option($147 base upgrade) was offered on all body styles. This car has a dealer installed hood tachometer which has also been restored.

It has a manual transmission and it's original 302ci V8 engine. Richard's daughter, Beth, sent the photo and adds, "This is my father's pride and joy. He purchased it new and has recently restored it to it's original grandeur. It has only 30,000 original miles. The only thing he lacks is the stripes and he is working on that now. Would love to hear from anyone else who has the same model or knows anyone who does."

This special model was purchased new in Torrence, California, possibly an extension of the 1968 Rainbow of Colors promotion.. This Mach 1 has a 351ci V8 engine, 4-speed Top Loader with Hurst shifter, 10 spline clutch kit, stainless steel racing flywheel, 9-inch rearend, dual exhaust, front disc brakes, and Deluxe interior. This Mach 1 has a DSO of 72-5016. The paint code is a 5 - which is really a blank followed by a 5. The 5 is for the factory blacked out hood.


(19 photos of a 1969 Gulfstream Aqua Blue Mustang Grande Hardtop) Gulfstream Aqua 1969 Mustang Grande hardtop with original paint and interior and a 290hp (at 4800rpm), 351 cubic inch Winsor, 4 barrel V8 engine. The standard Grande options for 1969 were the deluxe cloth seats, wire wheel covers, rocker panel moldings, rim blow deluxe steering wheel, color keyed racing mirrors, electric clock, bright pedal pads, two tone tape stripe, a sport ground package, modified rear suspension, wheel tip and rear deck moldings, exterior ID plaque (Grande lettering on C-pillar), interior woodgrain highlights, padded trim panels and arm rests, and padded door panels with courtesy lights. Other exterior options not included in the 1969 Grande package included the white vinyl roof. There is 70K miles on this car and it has been kept very well.

It has its original 351ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Terry tells us, "Its all matching numbers. I found it on the net. It has been kept under cover from 2007. There was no rust what so ever any place on the car. I restored it for my son."

The door data tag for this car reads 63A 6 2A 30F 41 V 6. Let's decode it: 63A indicates a fastback body style with standard bucket seats, 6 for the Acapulco Blue Ford #3077-A exterior paint which is also shared with code D for 1969, 2A black bucket seats 30F assembled on the 30th of June, 41 ordered in the Chicago area, V 3.91 ratio limit slip rear axle, and 6 4 speed manual transmission.

(6 photos of a 1970 Grabber Blue Mustang Grabber Fastback) This is 1970 Mustang in bright Grabber Blue with the Mustang Grabber option. It's also known as the Grabber Edition. The Mustang Grabbers were Sportsroofs with these special 'C' Side Stripes (similar to the 1969 Boss 302 but with out the lettering), the 302 2V (F-code) engine, colored side mirrors, and a blacked out taillight panel. Blue was a popular color in 1970. There were no less than five different blue paints available on the Mustang in 1970.
