The GTA is a GT optioned Mustang with an Automatic transmission. GTA designations were only available in 1967. Factory options include: closed crankcase emission system, exhaust emission control, GT equipment group, C-6 Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission, Equa-Lock differential, rocker panel molding, upper and lower console, Deluxe steering wheel, power steering, Tilt-Away steering wheel, Selectaire air conditioning, AM/FM radio, exterior decor group, interior decor group, tinted glass, Deluxe seat belts, and styled steel wheels

The door data tag of this car reads: 63BI Lime Gold paint (Ford #2041-A), 6G Ivy gold deluxe bucket seats, 17L assembled on November 17th, 1966, 75 ordered in the Phoenix area, 1 3.00:1 rear axle ratio, and W C-4 Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission.

It is one of 22,228 built. It was built in the Metuchen, New Jersey Plant (Plant Code T) in October of 1966. It was coded to be sent to a Ford Dealership in Jacksonville, Florida (DSO Code 24). It was registered in Puerto Rico by 1972 as a '1967 Mustang GT'. In 2000-04 was registered as a 1967 'LTD'! The price when new was around $3,500.00 (the dealer invoice was not available). Ceasar is the 4th owner and has owned the car since 2005. The car came with the Deluxe Package and Interior/exterior Decor Group which included: Exterior Visibility Group: Tail light Applique (ribbed panel), Rocker panel, taillight panel, and wheel well trim, black vinyl roof, Styled Steel wheels, deluxe mirrors, and hood signal lights. The interior has: dual tone seats Trim '6G' (light Ivy gold/medium Ivy Gold vinyl), the Interior Decor Group, brushed aluminum trim (dash and doors), floor and roof consoles, Door Courtesy Lights with Red and White Lens, 8-track stereo radio, factory air conditioning and more. The engine is a Code C, 289 CI, 200HP, 2BBC, with Autolite 2100 Original Carburetor (rebuilt in 1994 and 2011). The transmission is a Cruise-O-Matic C-4 Automatic (Code U). The engine has been converted to Electronic Ignition (still keep the original Points Ignition Assy). It has Hankook H725 Mileage Plus II 195/75R14 H725 tires, dual Exhaust, Dynomax Superturbo (13370) 14-inch mufflers with 2-inch pipes and curved chrome tips.

We are the first to show you this series of newspaper articles from the Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio area featuring a newly discovered 1967 Mustang Limited Edition called the "Mustang Blazer". We found many advertisements in local newspapers from mid November through mid December 1966. All of them featured women; therefore, we think this limited edition Mustang was designed more for women. This advertisement was placed by several dealerships: Grantsville Motor Service, Gratton Ford, Shaffer Ford, Kowell Ford, and Jim Beamer Ford in the November 11th edition of the Cumberland Evening Times of Cumberland, Maryland. The Blazer option was also on the Ford Galaxie 500.

Lime Gold was more of a green than a gold in color. Those side scoops down low behind the doors are functional! They provide cool air to the rear brakes.

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 12, 2015. It has it's original 289ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Tom says, "I bought it in 1980 in Anaheim, California. It is mostly original and unrestored. It does have fresh paint and I did rebuild the engine, but other than that, it is basically a survivor."

Ty tells us more, "This is a Canadian car which has stayed in Ontario its whole life. The car is in complete original condition and has been painted only once. The body and undercarriage of the car has been preserved extremely well, with no rust at all. It has a 260 six cylinder that runs very well. It is hard to decide what to do with such a car being in such perfect condition."

The California Special options group included a Shelby style decklid with a spoiler, unique taillights, and a blacked-out grille with out Mustang identification. In the CS option the GT was purposely missing from the normal GT wheelcovers. A similar option package was available in Colorado called the High Country Special.

It has a C-code 302 4V V8 engine with tri-y headers feeding dual Flowmaster mufflers. It has an automatic transmission. Mark adds, "It was imported into Australia January 2010. It was purchased by me September 2010. It's only travelled 3000 miles since full restoration - the last owner (in America) owned the car since 1987. It has GT pack on board but not a factory addition."

The Sprint option was was an economically priced upgrade which was aimed at reducing the risk of running out of the base engine by offering an engine upgrade and many of the GT options. This car has the 6-cylinder engine and is therefore known as the 1968 Sprint "A" Package. The door tag on this car reads 65CI6A05D712W: 65C 2-door hardtop, I Lime Gold metallic exterior paint, 6A black bucket seats, 05D assembled on the 5th of April, 71 ordered in the Los Angeles area, 2 2.79:1 rear axle ratio, and 2 automatic C4 transmission.
