Brittany Blue 1967 Mustang hardtop in the sun at the 2010 Mustang Roundup car show in Tampa, Florida. This was originally a Sports Sprint optioned C-code 289ci V8 Mustang with rocker panel molding, power steering, wire wheel covers, white-sidewall tires, tinted glass, AM radio, and hood marker light. The owner has added a 302ci 4V V8 engine, fog lamps, custom steering wheel, new AM/FM radio with rear speaker, Humphugger console, seat head rests, power truck release, rear window defogger, dual exhaust, power brakes, deluxe interior trim, power antenna, electric clock, and has removed the rocker panel molding.

This ad was placed by Mainway Ford in the July 1967 edition of Canada Track & Traffic magazine. There were 8 of these cars built by Mainway Ford of Toronto, Canada which mixed Ford Mercury Cougar parts with the 1967 Mustang.

The Stallion created by Mainway Ford of Toronto, Canada featured Mercury Cougar taillights and unique vinyl trim on the upper body. It says, This specially built, custom-equipped Mustang Hardtop is a Lone Star exclusive. Texas Ford Dealers have ordered all they can get - and you still won't see many around because this is a special limited-production model. Check the extras you get - all included in the special low price! GT hood with built-in turn signal indicators, rocker panel moldings, wheel covers, chromed air cleaner, whitewalls, vinyl-covered shift lever (with Cruise-O-Matic option), Lone Star Limited emblem. This ad was placed by the Long Motor Company. The same ad was placed by Bill Utter Ford in the April 14th, 1967, edition of the Denton Record-Chronicle newspaper in Denton, Texas.

1967 and 68 had these nearly flush mount, concave, triple rear tail lights. Before 67 they were convex (bowed out in the middle). Take a look at a preview of all Mustang rear views.

Probably aftermarket spinners. The spinners were stopped in late 1966 production due to government safety concerns. I don't think they came back in 1967.

Could this be one of the Chicagoland 1967 Limited Edition 400 Mustangs? A viewer sent us this photo set of his Mustang with a non-standard gold paint under the later added white. It also has rear panel holes where a badge might have been. A Marti report might confirm more since the door data tag is missing due to a door replacement.
