Although not the original color or a standard Mustang color for 1966, this burgundy red 1966 Mustang hardtop is still very nice. I photographed it at the 2010 Mustang car show in Port Angeles, Washington. There is the larger 289ci V8 engine under the hood.

The original paint is off the Full Wheel covers, but the spinners look nice. All 1966 full wheel covers were 14 inch with the exception of the Shelby wheel covers which were 15 inch.

This is the cover of the 1966 Ford Mustang promotional booklet. The most number of Mustangs were sold in 1966. A total of 607,568. Maybe it was this promotional brochure that made it so popular?
