Springtime Yellow 1965 Mustang hardtop owned by John Simmons from Victoria, Australia. This is our featured
Attitude Of The Week for the week starting November 25, 2019. It has a 289ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. John has owned the car for the last three years. He says that it's pretty standard, still LHD and drum brakes on the front. John wonders if anyone knows any past history on this car. Let him know in the comments or email him.

Take a look at this 1965 Rangoon Red fastback Mustang! It has been fully restored to look like it came fresh from the factory. It has the Optional 200hp 289ci V8 engine under the hood. This was one of the first 1965 Mustang fastbacks built after the early August 1964 plant shutdown for retooling. This car was the 10094th 1965 car built in San Jose.

Ivy Green 1965 Mustang GT fastback owned by Johannes Mikkelsen from Denmark. This is our featured
Attitude Of The Week for the week starting January 26, 2020. Johannes tells us more,
"It is a real GT and has the optional deluxe Pony Interior. We bought this car in 2018, from a guy in Austin Texas and had it shipped to Denmark. He had owned the car for 6 years, but only had interest in the car as an investment.
The owner that had the car between 1991 and 2012 had the car restored.
The car has 90% original sheet metal and 90% original interior which is really something special. The car has lived most its life in Louisville Kentucky. From 1965 to 2012. Its a high optioned car which include: A code engine, C4 automatic transmission, Interior decor group, full length console, GT Equipment Group, Rally Pac, Factory Air conditioner, Back up lamps, power steering, heavy duty battery, 2 speed wipers, rear seat belts, and inside day/nite mirror."

Although not the original exterior paint, this may be an example of the 1965 Dallas Red White and Blue promotional sale Mustang. This 1965 Mustang GT has the c-code, 195hp 289ci V8 under the hood, has the blue vinyl with blue trim, and GT fender badge with low side stripe. Brian and his family have owned the car since 2008 but followed the car's history since 1977. It was repainted prior to 1977. The original paint color is unknown but due to the name of the promotion, we believe it to have been red, white, blue or some combination. We have some information from a possible other Dallas Red White and Blue that the blue was 1965 Ford Truck Marlin blue
M1742.

View of the side showing the GT fender emblem and lower side stripe. Again, this car has been repainted and the original color is unknown. The door data tag reads 76A = convertible, blank = special order paint, 22 = blue interior trim, 09T = build date of June 9th of 1965, 613990 = Dallas area special order 3990, 1 = 3.00:1 axle, and 5 = 4-speed manual transmission. The build date of this car and the other possible Dallas Red White and Blue special of May 22, 1965 is right for a 4th of July special sale.

Blue 1965 Mustang convertible equipped with power steering, power disc brakes, power top, front bench seat, styled steel wheels 5-speed manual transmission, and an A-code 289ci 4-barrel V8 engine. This is not a
1965 Ford Mustang production paint but looks great on this car. What is unique about this car is the front bench seats, most Mustangs were ordered with bucket seats.

This is a black and white vintage Ford photo of the first 1965 Mustang Shelby GT-350 fastback. It has the Cragar wheels. You can see that there is no rear seat.
(from page 32 of the 1965 Collection)
Same setup as the last photo, but showing more of the front end of the Shelby GT350. Looks like the exhaust pipes exit just past the rear axle under the car. I wonder if this one has mufflers?

Prairie Bronze 1965 Mustang hardtop wearing a set of nice chrome Cragar wheels. Cragar wheels were very popular. Getting a set of chrome rims was the first modification many did to their cars.

We caught up with this gold 1965 Mustang hardtop again at the 2010 Uftring Ford car show. The rear tires on this car stick out way past the fenders. This is the second year I've been to this show and the second time it was overcast and about to rain.
