(5 photos of a 1967 Vintage Burgundy Mustang Hardtop) This burgundy 1967 Mustang hardtop "Attitude Of The Week" photo marks our first year on the web. This Mustang is owned by Johnny Walker from Forrest, Illinois. He had this story to share, "I purchased my 67 from an eighteen year old for $500 in 1990. I know that one of the front fenders came from a 68, and also the driver's door appears to be a replacement (signs of three different paint colors). It has a 289 with a 2-barrel carb. Is a 3-speed on the floor. It has Gabriel HyJacker air shocks, 70s series tires on Superior wire-spoke rims. I'm gradually changing the interior from red to black. I plan to install headers with dual exhaust, using Summit Patriot mufflers. Other plans include; K&N filters, Yamaha AM/FM cassette deck, Cobra 29XLR CB radio with K-40, small chrome mud flaps, and a sequential taillight kit. All in due time as money will allow. Someday it will get a new paint job but, the color is not determined at this time."

(10 photos of a 1967 Aspen Red Mustang Ski Country Special Hardtop) This is a rare 1967 Mustang Ski Country Special hardtop owned by Frank Recupero from Okhurst, California. Frank says, I found this special ordered Mustang Ski Country Special on cars.com. I had been looking for a decent 289 Mustang for about a year and found this in my back yard the next town over Coarsegold, California. Owned it for one year and 6 months, I got curious and ran the VIN#. It kept coming up special ordered, so I got more curious and ordered a Marti Report. The Marti Report solved the special order, it was something I never knew existed. What's a Ski Country Special? I did some more research and I'm very happy I did. This is 1 of 247 Ski Country Specials produced according to the Marti Report. I did very little mods. I had painted black stripes and new rims and dual exhaust on it. The rest of the car is stock. I also recovered the original badge for this model. I called the original owner up and asked her what was so special about the car; and she said her dad ordered it as a special model and there was some kind of badge that went on the decklid that was never put back on the car after one repaint. The owner asked me if I wanted the badge and I said sure; and now it's on the rear decklid where the dealer installed it in 1967.

Curly purchased the car from its second owner in 2004 - who knew little about the car's history. Curly sent a sample of the original paint to Marti Autoworks who provided him with the color and color code - Purple Metallic, color code M3203-A. Curly adds, "I've talked to the folks at Marti Autoworks about the car and they are aware of only one other '67 Mustang painted Purple Metallic (it is in Iowa). The car was ordered into Chicago and was an 'Order Type: Fleet". I am currently working with the Village Manager in Lombard, Illinois concerning the car. They are called 'Lilac Town' and have or had a fleet of purple cars. We are trying to determine if my car was ever a part of their fleet or the personal car of one of the city officials." If you can offer Curly any assistance with the origins of his car, please comment below.

(1 photo of a 1967 Dark Moss Green Mustang Fastback) This 1967 Mustang Fastback is owned by Paul of Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada. Paul says, "I bought the car in 1996 and stored it away for ten years. Took it out a few years ago and decided to strip the car down to the metal and paint it the original color and aligned the body up again. However, the car surprised me for the shape it was in; I had to do very little work to it. It's also a 4 speed car. I don't have much time to drive it because I run my own autobody shop. We all know what that's like. No time for our own. I'm also in the process of building another one; its also a 1967. I had that over 25 years now and no time to work on it as well. I also have a 1977 Cobra Mustang bought in 1996. It's a 4 speed as well." This is an S-code car with a 390ci, 4-barrel, V8 engine.

(9 photos of a 1967 Silver Frost Mustang Shelby GT-350 Fastback) Check out this amazingly restored Silver Frost 1967 Shelby GT350 Mustang fastback owned by Emmanuel Theux of Monte-Carlo, Monaco. There are several other darker gray 1967 Shelbys out there but this is the color and year that inspired the Eleanor Shelby used in the Nicolas Cage, 2000 movie Gone in 60 seconds which is also a light gray, but more accurately Eleanor Pepper Gray Dupont 44490. There is much confusion on what 1967 Shelby color code 6 for Medium Gray is. Marti confirmed with Emmanuel that over the years Ford color code M1901 Silver Frost had been mistaken for the correct Ford color code M1900 Thunderbird Charcoal Gray. Emmanuel's 67 GT350 was our Attitude Of The Week for May 3rd, 2009. Emmanuel has owned many Mustangs. Check them out by clicking here.
