Erik from British Columbia is trying to find out more about this Special Order purple painted 1968 Mustang hardtop (and possibly also a Cougar) that was built early 1968 and ordered in BC, Canada (DSO B7, blank paint code). The paint appears to be Ford WT9083 special order purple paint which was used in the Rainbow of Colors - West Coast promotion but we have found no evidence of this promotion further north than the Salt Lake City area. The paint is over a metallic blue but the purple paint is painted everywhere as usually done by the factory when the trim is all off (we've seen other factory special painted Mustangs with a different color underneath). Erik, who owns this car, has a friend in BC who owns a Cougar with the same paint. Contact us or Erik if you know of others or have any ideas.
