"Saleen transformed both standard V6 Mustangs and V8 Mustang GTs into the 1995 Saleen models. The S-351 models had their original engines removed and replaced with a powerful Saleen 351ci V8. The SR models, which were built for racing, had a supercharged version of the same engine that produced 480hp. The Saleens also had enhanced suspension features, such as progressive-rate coil springs, Racecraft shocks and struts, urethane swaybar bushings, and strut tower braces. They also had four-wheel disc five-lug brakes and 18 inch wheels. Some of the optional features that were available for the Saleens included a twin gauge pod, a sports bar and tonneau for the convertible, Recaro racing seats, a 3.55 rear axle, and an upgraded sound system.
