The 2019 Mustang offers some new exterior paint colors, a new fine-tuned design inside and out, and some new special limited editions. New exterior paint colors include Need for Green, Velocity Blue and Dark Highland Green, which is exclusive to the 50th anniversary Bullitt Mustang. The California Special is back and so is the Shelby GT350. For the 2.3L EcoBoost, a new class-exclusive active valve performance exhaust is available. With this exhaust, owners can set it to a quiet start, or sporty for waking up the neighbors. Also new is the optional B&O Play Premium Audio System from Harman. SYNC 3 AppLink now includes Amazon Alexa.

Special Models (compare years)

Mustang GT
The 2019 Mustang GT comes with the 460hp, 5.0L V8, dual exhaust with quad tips, LED fog lamps, Track Apps and SYNC, 18 inch machine-face aluminum wheels with high gloss ebony painted pockets, 6-speed manual with rev matching, and upgraded brakes to name a few over the baselevel Mustang. Options include leather seats and upgraded stereo system.

GT Performance
Continuing is the 2019 GT Performance Package level 1 and 2. The base level adds a front air splitter, silver painted strut-tower brace, larger radiator, upsized rear sway bar, heavy-duty strings, chassis tuning, K-member brace, Brembo brakes, performance rear wing spoiler, electric power assisted steering (EPAS), ABS, electronic stability control tuning, engine spun aluminum instrument panel trim, gauge pack and 3.73/3.55 manual/auto Torsen limited slip rear differentials. Level 2 adds MagneRide damping system, performance springs and sway bar, front slitter, rear spoiler, and performance tires.

California Special
The 2019 Mustang GT/CS or California Special is newly designed with a side fading GT/CS side stripe, rear decklid California Special badge in black and race red, blacked-out open grille, the Mustang Performance Pack 1 splitter, unique five-spoke painted machined wheels, and side scopes. On the inside there are black Miko suede-trimmed seats with GT/CS lettering and red accent stitching, GT/CS floor mats, and a California Special dash badge.

Bullitt Mustang
The 2019 Mustang Bullitt is a limited special edition featuring a 475hp 5.0L V8, special dark green paint or black, 19 inch black wheels with Brembo brakes, blank front grille with thin chrome surround trim, thin chrome window trim, and Bullitt badges inside and out. Optional black leather Recaro seats are also available.

Shelby Mustang
The 2019 Shelby GT350 is back for 2019 with a new front grille design, rear spoiler design with optional Gurney Flap, chassis bracing that is stiffer, magnetic ride control, Brembo brakes, custom Michelin tires, new 12-speaker B&O Play audio system, and dual-zone automatic temperature control.

Saleen Mustang
The 2019 Saleen Mustang continues the Saleen performance tradition of the S302 normally aspirated White Label, supercharged Yellow Label, and the ultimate supercharged Black Label model. New to 2019 is the 780hp, 35th commemorative edition, SA-35 with a limited quantity of 10.

Roush Mustang
The 2019 Roush Mustang has three trim/performance levels: the 310hp 4-cylinder EcoBoost Stage 1, the 460hp V8 Stage 2, and the 710hp supercharged V8 Stage 3. All levels have the aero body kit, graphics, and badges. Extra performance and handling options are included as well as additional cost.

RTR Mustang
The 2019 RTR Mustang continues its modification offerings first started in 2010 to the EcoBoost and GT Mustang. Three levels include the grille, vented hood, rear spoiler, spring upgrade, and badged Spec 1; the splitter and handling upgraded Spec 2, and the Roush supercharged Spec 3. There is also a limited edition Series 1 which includes the Spec 1 upgrades to a Performance Level 1 GT or EcoBoost but serialized and limited to 500 units.
