The 2023 Mustang is a carry-over from the previous year, with 2024 marked as the start of the new seventh-generation body style. Unfortunately, preliminary expectations are that there will be no 2023 Mustang Shelby GT500. However, new to 2023 is the Mustang Nite Pony Package for the Mach-E, EcoBoost, and GT models. This package features unique black wheels with special center caps and black badges.

While exterior paint colors of Cyber Orange and Brittany Blue are not continued into 2023, the amazing Atlas Blue, Eruption Green, Fighter Jet Gray, and Mischievous Purple continue to be offered. The EcoBoost continues with the 2.3L High Performance Package, Wheel and Stripe Package, Nite Pony Package, Coastal Limited Package, Stealth Package, and Ice White Appearance Package. The GT continues with the GT Performance Package, Nite Pony Package, California Special Package, and Ice White Appearance Package. There is also a 470hp V8 Mach 1.

The all-electric Mach E SUV has battery upgrades and a new glass roof option. It also comes in new Carbonized Gray or Vapor Blue exterior paint and features a new Nite Pony Package and LED projector headlamps.

Mach E
The 2023 Mach E (Electric) SUV has more battery capacity, a new fixed glass roof option, new paint colors, and a new Mustang Nite Pony Package

2.3L High Performance
The 2023 2.3L High Performance package for the 4-cylinder Mustang adds Mustang GT brakes, and GT Performance Package aerodynamics and suspension components to push the horsepower higher.

Coast Limited
The 2023 Coastal Limited Package for continues for the the EcoBoost Premium. Similar to the California Special for the GT, the Coastal Limited for the 4-cylinder EcoBoost upgrades the wheels, ads Coastal Limited lighted sill plates, unique body colored grille, pedestal rear spoiler, side scoops, and unique vinyl stripe.

Ice White
The 2023 Ice White appearance package makes it all white (exterior paint, trim, badges, etc). Available for the Mach-E and EcoBoost; it ads white painted wheels, white interior trim accents and stitching, black grille with white pony badge, white rear pony badge.

Stealth
The 2023 Stealth appearance package makes it all black (exterior paint, trim, badges, etc). Available for both the EcoBoost, the Stealth package upgrades the wheels to an ebony black painted aluminum style, ads stealth lighted sill plates, black badges, black pony grille, performance rear wing, black mirror caps, and clear LED taillamp with sequential turn signals. Along a similar line, since 2016, there has been a Black Accent Package available for the Mustang GT.

Nite Pony
New for 2023 is the Mustang Nite Pony Package which adds unique black wheels, black black decklid spoiler, black badges, black grille black mirror caps and black painted roof. The package is available for the regular and premium level EcoBoost and GT and the premium or GT level of the Mach E.

Mustang GT
The 2023 Mustang GT has a 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 engine, 3.55 limited-slip rear axle, engine oil cooler, larger brake rotors, 5.0L fender badge, dual exhaust with quad tips, rear GT badge, LED fog lamps, tased blade decklid spoiler, performance tires, unique high gloss black front grille, unique rear valance, and much more.

GT Performance
The 2023 GT Performance Package offers 19 inch ebony black-painted aluminum wheels, brembo brakes, engine-spun aluminum instrument panel, oil and vacuum gauge pack, heavy-duty front springs, k-brace, performance rear wing, black painted strut-tower brace, Torsen differential, unique chassis tuning and stability control, and upsized rear sway bar.

California Special
The 2023 California Special continues with a GT appearance upgrade for those sunny days. The Black and Red stripe is new on the 2023 California Special Package. Other upgrades include 19 inch machined-face aluminum carbonized gray-painted wheels, tower strut brace and rear badging, carbon hex aluminum instrument panel, California Special script floor mats, Mike Suede door and seat trim with tech stitching and GT/CS logo, rear performance wing (fastback), performance front splitter, side scoops, and unique front honeycomb grilles with GT/CS badge.

Mach 1
The 2023 Mach 1 continues with a 480hp version of the 5.0L V8 engine. The Mach 1 starts with a GT and adds badges inside and out, unique front fascia, 6-speed Tremec TR-3160 Manual Transmission from the GT350, transmission and differential coolers of the Shelby GT350, GT350/GT500 large rear wing (Swing), and exterior graphics to name a few.
