The interior on this 1965 Shelby is black

There is no rear seat on the 1965 Shelby.

The battery on the 1965 Shelby is in the trunk for better weight distribution.

I bet there aren't many of these around. It's the original Owner's Manual for this 1956 Mustang Shelby GT 350.

Rangoon Red 1965 Mustang hardtop owned by Jon Tartt from Okolona, Mississippi. It has the 200ci 6-cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. Jon tells us,
"My sister-in-law moved to Murray, Kentucky. We were riding around town and I saw it for sale and bought it."

It has a single tailpipe and no reverse lights (they were options in 1965).

It has a 200ci 6-cylinder engine. This engine is original to the car.

The interior is RED. Everything is RED.

Here is a close-up of the dash for 1965. It was continued in 1966 as the stock dash (with an optional version also).

The trunk has a matching liner and spare tire cover.

Check out the Mustang hub cap. It has a great looking center cap.

There is an incredible 40,964 miles on this Twilight Turquoise (color code 5) 1965 Mustang fastback. This photo shows what Twilight Turquoise should look like, its needs a bit of work but the color is exceptional. This car has a 200hp at 440rpm, 289 cubic inch, 2 barrel V8. The door data tag reads
63A fastback body style,
5 Twilight Turquoise exterior color,
76 black interior trim,
21A assembled on January 21, 1965,
15 ordered in the Newark area,
6 3.50:1 rear axle ratio, and
6 dual range C4 automatic transmission.

Here is that 289ci 4bbl High Performance engine. This was the top of the line engine. It was rated at 271 horsepower and had a compression ratio of 10.5:1.
