This Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang Hardtop was at the 2010 Mustang car show hosted by the North Olympic Mustangs and Cougars club. It has after market wheels and engine accents but the exterior color is amazing.

GT500 Super Snake. It was a great show in a great location, we can hardly wait for the next one.

It was a little overcast on the day of the Port Angeles car show but many car owners came out. This is the classic Mustang section.

The is the mid to late Mustang section of the car show in Port Angeles. Two unique weather words have been coined in the Seattle/Washington area: "sun peeks" and "blue holes". This photo was taken during one of them. The sun was peeking around the clouds or there was a blue hole in the clouds which allowed the sun to come out a bit.

We met up with this Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang hardtop again at the 2011 Mustang car show in Port Angeles, Washington.

After a few months of production for the 1964 or 1964.5 Mustang, this is the 1965 Ford Mustang Promotional Brochure. New to 1965 is the GT options group, Interior Decor options group, the Pony interior, and much more.
These are The Total Performance '65 Mustangs Total performance with total popularity! Everybody loves Mustang - everybody wants a Mustang. It's the most popular new car ever introduced! What makes Mustang such an all American favorite? Imported sports car flair. Pure driving fun. Built-in Ford economy and a typical low Ford price. Whether Hardtop, Convertible or Fastback 2+2, Mustang's low price includes all kinds of luxury equipment as standard. Individually adjustable, deep-foam bucket seats. Leather-soft all-vinyl interiors. Color-keyed wall-to-wall carpeting. Courtesy lights. Sports steering wheel. Curved side glass. Full wheel covers. Over 70 options let you design your own Mustang. For surprisingly little added cost, you can design yours as a luxury Mustang (see new interior Decor Group, pages 10-11), a family Mustang (see new full-width front seat with center arm rest, page 12), a sports Mustang (see new GT Equipment Group, pages 14-15), or anything else you might fancy in between. In addition, Mustang's long list of options (pages 12-13) includes every-thing from three hot Challenger V-8's (up to 271 hp!) to front disc brakes, air conditioner to backup lights, power steering to styled steel wheels. Whatever kind of Mustang you prefer, you owe yourself the fun of a Mustang test drive at your Ford Dealer's.

Page 4 and 5 of the 1965 Ford Mustang Promotional brochure shows off the fastback 2+2 body style.
Mustang Fastback 2+2 The Fastback 2+2 comes on bold with style you'd expect only from Europe and only at very high prices. But this one's a Mustang, with the kind of low Ford price that has made Mustang so popular. Luxury with versatility comes in double handfuls. Silent-Flo Ventilation draws in a stream of fresh air with all windows closed. (Stale air, tobacco smoke exit out the louvers.) In the rear, the 2-passenger deep-foam seat folds down into a 35 x 41-in. platform, more than tripling luggage space! The big 10-sq. ft. "skylight" window is tinted glass to cut sun glare. A new standard 120-hp, 200-cu in. Six is quick and strong... a quality thoroughbred, smooth as a jewel with its 7-main-bearing crankshaft. Thrifty, too, the Six is just one of many "savers" standard in Mustangs. Twice-a-Year Maintenance... self-adjusting brakes, aluminized muffler... plus all the other service savings pioneered by Ford. Any wonder that Mustangs are so easy to fall in love with?
Mustang Hardtop When you look at Mustang's low price and then at all it includes as standard equipment, it's no wonder Mustang has come so far so fast. Take the Hardtop for instance. It's the lowest priced of all three Mustangs. Yet that low price tag includes many luxury items, standard on all Mustangs, which come in other cars only at extra cost, or not at all.
