A nice looking 289ci engine sits under the hood.

Silver Smoke Gray 1965 Mustang convertible owned by Rob Eckenrode from Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania. This was our featured
Attitude Of The Week photo for the week starting November 1, 2009. Rob shares,
"This vehicle was ordered by my wife's grandmother specifically to match the school color where they lived. It has the original dealer installed factory AC. It has recently been restored to original condition and won best of show in its first show this month. I have yet to find another 65 with this color combination and was told it is rare, but since Marty reports don's go back to 65 I do not know how many were made."

Under the hood is it's original 289ci 2bbl V8 engine. It was rated at 200 horsepower.

The interior is red. A very bright red!

What's in the trunk? Lots of plaid.

Silver Blue 1965 Mustang convertible with the code C - 289 cubic inch engine with barrel carburetor and Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission.

Silver Blue 1965 Mustang convertible, rear end view. Hey, I know this place! I got a hotel last year just at the upper right end of this road.

This car has the Luxury Pony interior. I bet it is hard to keep those white floor mats clean. You can see the remote control for the mirror on the front end (down low) of the driver's side door.

Here is a shot of the optional 200hp 289ci V8 engine that was available on the 1965 Mustang.

This Dynasty Green 1965 Mustang hardtop is owned by Hayley M. of New York and was our
Attitude Of The Week for November 15, 2009. Hayley says,
I just purchased from a couple who bought it in Utah 10 years ago. When they got it, several beehives were present in the headlights and engine compartment. They went a little crazy with the color choices under the hood, but retained the original color. All I know about it is what the previous owner knew, which wasn't all that much. While it's not perfect, it's a classic that deserves to be well taken care of, and I intend to do so for many years to come. My only addition has been the pirate flag on the antenna.

This car is in excellent condition, check out the full wheel covers standard on the 1965 Mustang.

Nice view of the 1965, Ford, Mustang, T-code, 200 cubic inch, 6 cylinder engine.

Caspian Blue 1965 Mustang fastback with the C code 289ci 4-barrel engine and a five-speed (non original) manual transmission.

Caspian Blue 1965 Mustang fastback, rear end view. The 1965 Mustang had a pretty bare looking rear end. The only Mustang signage was on the gas cap. And in 1965 this was the real gas cap. This particular Mustang doesn't have the rear backup (or reverse) lights. Compare to this
1965 Mustang with reverse lights. Looks like another Mustang under restoration in the garage - off to the right. Might be a 1970.
