Page 10 of the 1973 Ford Mustang promotional booklet shows the exterior decor group option and shows two of the three "Glow" paints offered: metallic Blue Glow, metallic gold glow, and metallic ivy glow (not shown). The text for each reads, Decor Group Add a touch of dazzle to your Mustang. Shown on Convertible and Hardtop (below), the package includes a black grille with integral sportlamp, black or argent lower bodyside paint with bright chrome molding, wheel trim rings and hub caps. Bodyside Tape Stripe. A separate option available only with Decor Group in black or argent (shown on Hardtop below). Metallic Glow Paints A brighter sheen with glamorous metallic brilliance. Available in three colors - metallic Ivy Glow, metallic Blue Glow, and metallic Gold Glow.

The option text reads, Protection Groups Protection Package guards your Mustang against bumps and nicks with black vinyl insert bodyside molding. Also includes spare tire lock and door edge guards. I photographed this amazing Gold Glow 1973 Mustang Mach 1 Cobra Jet at the 2011 Mustang Roundup car show held in Bellevue, Washington. It has a blacked out hood, Magnum 500 wheels, 351ci 4V V8 Cobra Jet engine, and is our Attitude Of The Week for the week starting October 2nd, 2011. It was a little overcast but the Gold Glow exterior paint really stood out.
