This is the door data tag, let's decode it. The second to the bottom row starts with a 1C which indicates that this car has black exterior paint and the last code is a 13 DSO code for the ordering district of New York city. The last row starts with a 61B body code indicating a hatchback body style, XXX for standard exterior molding, FG for smoke cloth seats, P is the tape stripe color in the molding, 9 indicates a AM/FM radio with clock cassette and electronic tuning, E is the 3.27:1 ratio locked rear axle, and the first T of the ending part is for an automatic with overdrive transmission.
Check out this Smoke 1988 Mustang GT hatchback with T-tops! It is owned by Alan King from Carrollton, Georgia. Under the hood is a 302ci V8 engine. Alan had this to share, "I bought this car in June of 1989. It was in the Ford fleet. It carries the DSO 89 on the door tag. It now has 67,000 miles on it and still in great shape. Has pretty much been parked since 1993. I have never seen another 88 T-top with the 1K (Smoke) color."

This customized Yellow 1988 Mustang GT convertible with its original but also customized 302ci HO V8 is owned by Ryan of Toronto, Canada and is our Attitude Of The Week starting the week of December 25th, 2011. It has a custom front grille, headlights, and lower valance; custom hood with hood pins; and custom wheels and rear spoiler to name a few.

That's Linda standing next to her Dark Shadow Blue 1988 Mustang convertible. Tommy explains, "Linda wanted this car in 1988. Because we had just combined four children we could not afford it. In 2005 I started looking for this particular optioned car. After five years looking nation wide I FOUND ONE 15 miles from home. The car needed very little restoration and was given to Linda for Christmas 2010. Restoration was completed in 2011."
They've added rocker stripes. The engine is a 2.3L 4-cylinder. It has an automatic transmission.
