Lots going on in here, but it all fits. It is a 351ci V8. The owner says,
Engine & World Aluminum ported heads, Erson 1.7 roller rockers, 1.8 intake, 1.6 exhaust, Custom grind Erson cam (not sure spec.), .20 overbore, Keith Black pistons (9.25:1 comp), stock crank, Manley pro-series timing chain, Chuck Nuytten Holley 650 Dual Feed Carb, Edelbrock Performer Manifold, Ford Motorsports Valve Covers, Promaster Coil, Mallory Billet Distributor with Electronic Advance, Mallory 13mm pro stock wires, Ford shorty headers with h-pipe and Dynomax dual exhaust. all ARP bolts, and 8.8 Rear end with 3.73 gears. Transmission is the stock AOD with Hughes 11"2600 Stall Converter and Hughes valve body kit . Radiator is an aluminum Motorcraft.

The Ford Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) group was started on the 1980 Mustangs to to help interested race car drivers build up competition versions of the Mustang, create a kits of bolt-on parts that could be purchased by average Mustang owners to modify their street cars, and create a series of specialty GT racing cars.

This is a 5.0L engine. The automatics came with electronic fuel injection and rated at 165 horsepower. The manuals came had an HO engine with 4-barrel carb rated at 210 horsepower.

Bright Red 1985 Saleen hatchback with gold stripes and gold Saleen wheels. Saleen only produced these in four colors during 1985; black, red, white, and blue. This is Saleen factory ID #89 car. Only 140 where built - 138 of them hatchbacks. This car still has it's original paint.

Under the hood is a 5.0L (302ci) 210hp V8 with a 4-barrel carb. The 175hp EFI version was for the automatic.
This is a redone 1985 Twister II Special GT Mustang in Bright Red or Jalapena Red with aftermarket 17 inch Cobra wheels and aftermarket hood. The 1985 Twister Special Mustang sported black side stripes and Twister II lettering as well as a black striped hood without a hood scoop. The Twister was only offered in the Kansas area and could be ordered with on any GT (convertible or hatchback) with any GT options. The Twister was first offered in 1970 but only came on the Mach 1 in Grabber orange, and in 2008 as an aftermarket Grabber Orange GT upgrade; but both in the Kansas area only.

This 5.8L V8 engine has been added. It originally came with the 302ci, 5.0L, High Output, 4-barrel, rated at 210hp (4400rpm).
