Here is another view of the 2001, Saleen, 4.6 liter, Supercharged V8 engine. Saleen serialized this engine and upgrade on the plate seen in the upper center of this photo.
The interior of this 2001 Saleen S281 supercharged Mustang has Saleen white faced instrument gauges and instrument pod.
Here is the original window sticker. Looks like the light bar and the hard tonneau cover is part of the $2547 Saleen Speedster package. The 5-spoke chrome alloy wheels was also an additional option.

Highland Green 2001 Mustang GT Bullitt with the Police Interceptor, 270hp, 281 cubic inch (4.6 liter), single overhead cam V8. Bullitt modifications included unique side scoops, 17-inch American Racing aluminum wheels, a lowered suspension, modified C-pillars, special quarter panel molding, rocker panel moldings, brushed aluminum fuel cap door, special Bullitt badging, polished-rolled tailpipe, and came in Dark Highland Green, True Blue and Black. Ford optioned this 2001 Mustang to resemble the 1968 fastback driven by Steve McQueen in the detective movie Bullitt. This Bullitt example was also our Attitude Of The Week for 11-04-2007.

This is the 270hp, 305 lb-ft of torque, 281 cubic inch, 4.6 liter, electronic fuel injected, single overhead cam, V8, Police Interceptor, special Bullitt engine. This power system has cast aluminum intake manifold, optimized alternator and pump pulley ratios, and high flow mufflers for increased power and aggressive performance sound making it a few horsepower over the standard GT powerplant.
This is the Bullitt Police Interceptor rear emblem.
