We spotted this 2012 Mustang FR500CJ coupe at the 33rd annual Mustang and All-Ford Show in Springfield, Illinois on August 24th, 2011. It's a Ford factory race car! This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting October 9, 2011. This car is one of fifty units built in 2012. They came in red, blue, and white. Like it? It has a set of factory wheelie bars! Imagine driving this down the street! Too bad it's not street legal.
Another shot of this Race Red 2012 Cobra Jet race car. Original cost was between $91,900 base and $103,980 fully loaded.
You have to check out this interior. At firt glance, it looks stock. Then you see the red roll cage, race shifter with line lock, five-point seat belts, big tach and shift light, extra gauges in the center console, and a whole line of toggle switches with lights.
Check out the stitching on the seat backs.
That is an aluminum-blocked 5.4-liter V8. You can top the engine off with either the 2.3-liter TVS supercharger or the 4.0-liter Ford Racing Whipple supercharger. Both yield a 425hp engine. Take a close look. There is nothing here but engine. The battery is in the trunk and the strut towers and inner fenders have been stripped of useless items.
The engine compartment is full of Ford Racing components.
Grabber Blue 2012 Mustang Shelby GT-500 convertible with white over-the-top racing stripes. This one has the matching white GT500 rocker stripes. Besides the stripes, the only other options are the Recaro racing seats and shaker 1000 sound system.

These are optional leather Recaro racing seats with the oxford white tape stripe inserts.
Check out the window decal for this Grabber Blue 2012 Shelby GT500 convertible. Not many options. But a huge list of standard equipment. The Shelby GT500 car cover is an option here. It can also be ordered online at Ford. I have one for my 2008 GT500, they are cool!
Black 2012 Roush DUB Special Edition V6 Mustang coupe with black stripes and special 20-inch wheels. It has DUB badging in the special blacked out grille, on the fenders, and rear. Does the car look lower? It's been lowered 1-inch as well!
Check out the flat black stripes on the hood! The lower front facia is Rossh. The grille emblem says DUB.
