Silver Frost 1966 Mustang hardtop with steel styled wheels, rocker panel metal trim, and a 289ci V8 engine. The door data tag on this car reads 65A hardtop body style, 4 Silver Frost exterior paint color, 25 red interior with red trim, 22K assembled on the 22nd of October, 25 ordered in the Richmond area, F 2.80:1 rear axle ratio, and 1 3 speed manual transmission.

Mustang zooms past its first million ...starts its second million with a Special Mustang Sale says a print ad in the April 1st, 1966 edition of the Seattle Times. This is actually the first Sprint model with the 200cu inline 6-cycle engine, interior and exterior upgrades. The options listed as part of the sale include: wire-style wheels covers, accent paint stripe, chrome air cleaner cover, 5 dial instrument cluster, a lively 200cu six, sports steering wheel, 7-feature safety package, courtesy lights, and much more as the ad says. There is also mention of a Western Journeys 128 pages of breath-taking trips and western adventure in full color. This book was a special 1966 edition of Ford Times Magazine which was printed by Ford and came out monthly from 1908 to 1993.
Your Eager Beaver Northwest Ford Dealers say: Test-Drive a Winner says a Seattle Times newspaper ad from April 28th, 1966. This ad was run near the end of the month long Millionth Anniversary sale. The ad says, Mustang - a runaway best seller over right from the start! And today, over a million happy owners can tell you plenty about Mustang's winning ways. Lots of "extras" at no extra cost. Over 70 sports, luxury and performance options, including a 271-hp Cobra V-8. Any way you look at it, you're ahead in a Ford all the way? This ad also talks about a free Western Journeys 128 page booklet on travel and adventure in the West.
This is a genuine Raven Black 1966 Mustang Shelby GT-350H Hertz fastback. These where built for Hertz to be rental cars.
The black with gold stripes was unique to the Hertz Shelbys.

This is a 1966 Mustang GT white vinyl hardtop with special order Sapphire Blue exterior paint with blue pony interior and an A-code 289ci 4-barrel V8 engine. Sapphire blue was a standard color for the 1966 Shelby Mustang and 1966 Ford Thunderbird, but not the standard 1966 Mustang or Mustang GT. We have several examples of this special order color on other Mustangs. This car has been restored although it only has 20K miles on it.
