This is a newspaper advertisement we found for a used 1967 Branded Special Mustang hardtop at Weigand Ford in the April 5th, 1968 edition of The Daily Telegram of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The Branded Special consisted of a dealer added vinyl top with Branded emblem just behind the rear quarter window along with other dealer ordered options. They were options added to used 65-68 Mustang - in this case a V8 engine, automatic transmission, radio, special tires, and of course the vinyl roof. The Branded vinyl roof has a paisley pattern. Most paisley vinyl roofs were dark but had a gray or other dark color geometric pattern.
Check out this Branded Mustang ad. The Branded options were dealer added on used 1965-68 Mustangs. This dealer ad is from Ashley Ford, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. The ad was shown The News - Palldaium newspaper on January 24, 1969. This ad documents some interesting facts about the option that I haven't seen before. It says that the vinyl tops could be in four patterns - Paisley, Sculptured, Tweed, or Leather. They also came in 15 different colors. Or you could get just white or black. The stripes came in five different colors. And the emblems came in either a gold or silver color finish. Another interesting item is that this dealership offered the Branding option to a your own Mustang if you brought it in.
This magazine ad features a Red 1967 Mustang GT fastback and a Brittany Blue 1967 Shelby GT-500 fastback. Which would you pick?

Candy Apple Red 1967 Mustang Shelby GT-350 fastback with white racing stripes. This Shelby was on display at the 2010 Mustang & Ford car show at Uftring Ford in East Peoria, Illinois.

This is a great shot. It has "Shelby GT 350" logo with a snake on the front grille. I like the center grille mounted fog lights.

It has the same "Shelby GT 350" emblem on the rear. The gas cap even says "Shelby GT350".
The front fenders have these "Shelby GT350" emblems. The rocker stripe also contains the GT-350 wording.
The GT-350 comes with this 289ci Hi Performance V8 engine.
