What's in the trunk? Not much. It has a full size spare tire. Check out how the rear decklid spoiler is mounted. One layer of the trunk is cut into so that the nuts can snug up right to the top trunk metal layer. If there wasn't a hole the second layer, the outside layer would deflect when tightening up the nuts.

Grabber Orange 1970 Mustang Sidewinder fastback. This is one of seven that are known to exist. This one has a rebuilt 351 4V Cleveland engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. Check out the awesome sidewinder snake graphic on the rear fender.

The Sidewinder Special was sold in the Nebraska-Iowa area. They started with a sport upgraded base sportsroof Mustang and added stripes and the Sidewinder snake graphic.

The Sidewinder had the hood stripes, chin spoiler, and hood scoop.

Charles Gabus Ford in Des Moines, Iowa had a bran new 1970 Mustang Sidewinder on their lot! It was advertised as having a 351ci 4V engine, power steering, competition suspension, traction lock differential, and a shaker hood scoop. This ad is from the January 1, 1971 edition of the
Des Moines Register. They had it discounted to $3237.00 from $3685.70. That's a 12% discount! Someone got a great deal! Charles Gabus Ford was running a sale to reduce inventory on their 1970 models.

This is an advertisement we found for the 1970 Big-Red Special Mustang which featured a special "Nebraska Scarlet exterior color in hardtop or fastback body styles. We found this ad in the Lincoln Sunday Journal and Star of November 2nd, 1969. It reads,
They're Hot! They're Red Hot! They're the "BIG-RED SPECIALS" in a special limited edition of the great 1970 Mustang! Take your choice of hardtop or fastback in this season's most popular color "Nebraska Scarlet". Isn't it time you run with No. 1. Get a "BIG-RED SPECIAL today at O'Shea-Rogers Ford, but hurry!
